Aside from being quarantined during the pandemic, I was going through a difficult time. As I ordered the materials to make my first candle, I noticed caterpillars in my front yard and decided to care for them.

In the process, I became captivated by the metamorphosis of the butterfly. I observed how vulnerable they were, and in that, I reflected on myself. I began contemplating creation more deeply and appreciating The Creator.

As my daily encounter with this small but meaningful insect continued, my physical and spiritual life began to harmonize. I realized that, like a caterpillar, I too could be transformed into something beautiful- able to extend my wings and be free, even through a painful metamorphosis. In this temporal life, we are in a constant process of transformation. Our souls are eternal, and we are continually growing, refining, and becoming who we were created to be by The Creator. 

Free in harmony with nature, body, mind and soul, this experience inspired the meaning behind the Light of Harmony Candles logo, symbolized by the butterfly. I believe that we are all searching for peace, and we all long to live in harmony. In a world that moves so quickly, I invite you to slow down and enjoy a moment of calm through the gentle light of a candle.
